„der ohrenbetäubende Hit von Cannes“ - Der Spiegel

MUBI, weltweiter Filmverleih, Produktionsfirma und Streamingdienst, bringt Lynne Ramsays (A Beautiful Day, We Need to Talk About Kevin, Morvern Callar) spektakulären neuen Film DIE MY LOVE ab dem 13.

In den Hauptrollen spielen Academy-Award-Gewinnerin Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings, American Hustle), Robert Pattinson (Mickey 17, The Batman), LaKeith Stanfield (Judas and the Black Messiah, The Book of Clarence), Nick Nolte (Kap der Angst, Nur 48 Stunden, Herr der Gezeiten) und Sissy Spacek (Carrie, Nashville Lady, In the Bedroom).

Excellent Cadaver was founded in 2018 by Academy Award winning actress Jennifer Lawrence and producer Justine Ciarrocchi. Most recently, they debuted Die My Love, directed by Lynne Ramsay and starring Lawrence at this year’s Cannes Film Festival that received instant praise. They also produced the documentary, Bread & Roses, that won a Peabody Award in this year’s documentary category and received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Current Affairs Documentary. Produced alongside Nobel Peace Prize-winning human rights advocate, Malala Yousafzai, it's a poignant documentary about the experiences of Afghan women under Taliban rule. The film, directed by Sahra Mani, debuted at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, receiving a special acknowledgement from the Jury, and made its global premiere on AppleTV+ last November.
Along with Bread & Roses, Excellent Cadaver executive produced Zurawski v. Texas, which premiered at the 2024 Telluride Film Festival and won numerous accolades, including the Artemis Rising Foundation Award for Social Impact at the Hamptons International Film Festival. Produced alongside Hillary and Chelsea Clinton, the documentary follows a group of women who were denied access to healthcare and decided to band together with a fearless attorney to sue the state of Texas in an extraordinary effort to regain their rights and freedom.
Excellent Cadaver has also announced other projects including The Wives, a murder mystery starring Jennifer Lawrence, and Why Don’t You Love Me?, an adaptation of Paul B. Rainey's 2023 sci-fi comedy graphic novel. Their first film Causeway, which was a starring vehicle for Lawrence, earned Brian Tyree Henry an Academy Award nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category for his role as James Aucoin. In 2023, they premiered their outrageously delightful, “R-rated” comedy, No Hard Feelings, earning nominations for the Critics Choice Awards alongside Lawrence’s nomination for Best Performance By a Female Actor, Comedy at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, and her win at the 2024 People's Choice Awards for Comedy Movie Star of the Year.

Black Label just debuted their latest film, Lynn Ramsey’s DIE MY LOVE, which made its world premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. MUBI acquired the film out of the festival, and it was reported as the biggest film purchase. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Robert Pattinson, and LaKeith Stanfield. In a remote forgotten rural area, a mother (Lawrence) struggles to maintain her sanity as she battles with psychosis.
Upcoming, they have acquired the film rights to “The Strange”, the 2023 sci-fi thriller novel by Nathan Ballingrud. Aisha Porter-Christie will adapt the screenplay, and J.D. Dillard will direct. The project reunites Dillard with Black Label Media on the heels of “Devotion”. In March of 2025, it was announced that Black Label Media optioned Patrick Hoffman’s “The White Van,” with Grant Singer attached to direct.
Black Label most recently produced the feature directorial debut of Grant Singer, “Reptile,” starring Benicio Del Toro and Justin Timberlake. “Reptile” made its world premiere at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival and topped streaming charts after its debut on Netflix.
Credits include three-time Oscar-nominated “Sicario” (directed by Denis Villeneuve, starring Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro, and Josh Brolin), “Broken Diamonds,” (directed by Peter Sattler, starring Ben Platt and Lola Kirke), “Devotion” (directed by JD Dillard, starring Glen Powell and Jonathan Majors), “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” (directed by Kasi Lemmons, starring Naomi Ackie), “Sierra Burgess is a Loser” (directed by Ian Samuels, starring Sharon Purser and Noah Centineo), “Only the Brave” (directed by Joseph Kosinski, starring Josh Brolin and Miles Teller), “12 Strong” (directed by Nicholai Fugslig, starring Chris Hemsworth), “Sicario: Day of the Soldado” (directed by Stefano Solima, starring Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin) “Demolition” (directed by Jean Marc Vallée, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Naomi Watts), “71” (directed by Yann Demange, starring Jack O’Connell), “The Good Lie” (directed by Philippe Falardeau, starring Reese Witherspoon), and “Rebel in the Rye” (directed by Danny Strong, starring Nicholas Hoult).
